THE END!!!!!
Wow, Toby (or should I call you Birdy?) - that's an amazing list so far: 91 as I read, and probably going to go up soon. I can't believe you saw a violet-green swallow! Aren't they amazing?
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope you come back to Port Alberni soon. Hopefully we can find you some woodpeckers and flycatchers and warblers - and that kestrel.
Amazing work! You are inspiring!
Jackie
Oh my god, Toby, you won't believe it!
ReplyDeleteThere have been swallows out front for a few weeks, but I haven't paid much attention to them because I don't know my swallows very well.
Well, I went out with binocs this morning, and guess what!! They are violet-green swallows! I'm so excited!
Thanks for starting this project! It's making me so much more observant, and see things I would normally overlook!
Jackie
Thanks Jackie!!!!! We saw the Violet green swallows at the Riefel sanctuary, but then we saw two in a tall cedar tree on the way to school one day. Late for school that day. My mum used to have them nesting in a special box on her house a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow!!! sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many!!!
